The Texas Beta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity was
installed in May of 1953. Prior to that year the college did not
allow national fraternities on campus. Texas Beta was the second
national fraternity established at Texas Tech. A local campus
group, known as the Centaurs, formed the nucleus of the new
chapter.

Below is a table
containing each year from 1953. We ask that all alumni reflect on
their days in college and submit an entry to be included in this
section. If you have photos or other documents you may include
these as scanned attachments to an e-mail (send to bha@wiredbrush.com
) or alternatively send them by surface mail to Brian Carr at
5429-78th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79424 where he will scan them and
return.
Brother Brian Carr has prepared his narrative of the chapter's
history from 1977 through 2004. To view the article please click
